We are officially six months old! Happy New Month! I am so thankful for our growing community as always. Ẹ ṣé mo dúpẹ́ o!

So what's new?

• The Shoutbox (Community Chat) has been removed and replaced with a new "Latest" system.

The "Latest" system is a more elegant, simple solution for displaying the latest posts.

• Iseselagbao has joined OpenCollective. A platform for grassroots fundraising.

OpenCollective is a transparent, crowdfunding platform with the goal of uplifting grassroots cultural movements, communities, mutual aid groups, and projects. I believe this platform aligns well with iseselagbao. Therefore, we are shifting away from Patreon.

• We now accept one-time donations! Help keep us running.

If you would like to make a one-time donation. Click the blue "Support Us" button. This was made possible with OpenCollective.

• You can also now donate with BTCPay!

If you wish to donate with bitcoin. You can click the green button on the bottom of our site. This is for those of us who live in countries (ex: Nigeria) that are unable to access western financial institutions like paypal, venmo, etc. Bitcoin has become a liberating tool for those of us living in the global south  who are often discriminated against by Western financial services.

What may we expect this new month?

• More members and new discussions Àṣẹ o!
• Further  changes to the user interface.

As you all may have read in the previous announcements. I have big plans for our forum. As we gain more support and grow, it will help me invest more into the our forum's design and infrastructure.

• Maintenence as usual.

Occasionally our site may be closed due to maintenance. Don't worry. Most cases we will be back online soon. I will try my best to let you know if we will be in maintenance for an extended time.

Why did you remove Shoutbox?
Shoutbox (Community Chat) gave me some headache. I wasn't sure if I wanted it to be an instant message system or a way to see the latest post. There were also major issues with it. One of them being broken links. It took awhile for me to try to troubleshoot this problem until I decided that this system was not worth it. So I sought after more simple modern solution.

Future plans?
This month has provided many challenges for me in real life. There is a lot of work to be done. I am the only developer, administrator etc etc managing this. Doing this by myself. As we grow in members and as we gain support I plan to enhance the design of our forum. Baby steps. May we grow and develop. Àṣẹ Edumare.
